There are over 40 sports clubs and organizations in Herceg
Novi. There is a sports hall being constructed, and there are many sports centers being currently used most of which are a part of certain health, catering and educational
buildings.

SWIMMING-WATER POLO CLUB »JADRAN«

Founded in 1926, it is the oldest water polo clubs in the country. It won the championship of former Yugoslavia twice, in 1958 and 1959, and both times with no games lost, which is very uncommon. Many famous water polo players, who played for the national team as well, originated from this club such as Đuro RADAN, Milan MUŠKATIROVIĆ, Dejan DABOVIĆ, Zoran MUSTUR, Stanko ZLOKOVIĆ and the greatest of all BOŽIDAR STANIŠIĆ-CIKOTA, who is a world renowned legend. »Jadran« has had quite a few great swimmers as well. Who doesn’t remember the Four Grazias from Škver - Andrić, Čamdžić, Bajković and Golubin, who were multiple state champions.
Also, Ivan ZUBER, one of the greatest swimming coaches in the Balkans, was a part of the »Jadran« team.
In the past few years, new legends emerged from JADRAN such as VLADO GOJKOVIĆ, PREDRAG JOKIĆ and BORIS
ZLOKOVIĆ. Along with DENIS ŠEFIK, VANJA UDOVIČIĆ and their coach PETAR POROBIĆ they are acclaimed for Jadran winning the state championship three times and two cups in the past three years.
Up to now, Jadran has won 5 state champion titles and 2 cups.
BASKETBALL CLUB »PRIMORJE«

Founded in June of 1945, it is one of the first basketball clubs not only in Montenegro, but in Yugoslavia. It has always been a birthplace of talented players, such as Marinko Kovačević, brothers Subotić and Vasiljević, Perović, Sučević, and also two NBA players, Aleksandar RADOJEVIĆ, who played for TORONTO RAPTORS, DENVER NUGGETS and UTAH JAZZ and PREDRAG SAVOVIĆ, who played for the DENVER NUGGETS. This club is a member of the First Republic Basketball league of Montenegro.
BOATING CLUB “JUGOLE GRAKALIĆ”

The club was founded in early 1947, incorporating a section of modelers, yachtsmen and fishermen. Bearing the same name, in 1965, it was transformed into three clubs which dealt with: sports fishing, underwater activities and sailing. The club had many state champions in all classes and all age categories, among which is the renowned Antonije PUŠIĆ in the “optimist” class, and who is nowadays more famous as a musician RAMBO AMADEUS. Mario DUMANIĆ took the second place in the world championship in Italy in fish-hooking, and Ante ARAPOVIĆ has been a member of the national team in the same discipline for many years.
Members of other clubs, which were founded later, were trained in this club.
Today, there is the SAILBOAT CLUB, the CLUB FOR UNDERWATER ACTIVITIES and the FISHING CLUB, bearing the same name.

The club was founded in 1932, along with the Swimming-Water Polo Club »JADRAN«, and it is the oldest sports club in the city. It offers mountaineering, alpinism and speleology. The club owns a 50-bed lodge at the foot of the Subra mountain
at 1160 m altitude.
