HERCEG NOVI TROMBONJERI
In the mid 1970’s, in first years of “Mimosa Festival”, “Dubrovnik trombonjeri” were a part of the program, who helped make 12 guns in the beginning of 1980’s at the Repair institute “Sava Kovačević” in Tivat. The guns were commonly called “trombona” and thus the “Mimosa Festival” got its own, Herceg Novi trombonjeri. Those are men who walk in front of the festival’s parade shooting from trombona, guns without barrels, which, by using white gun powder and a bullet of the airguns as the initial capsule, produce only noise with smoke thus announcing the coming of the parade, the festival’s caravan, spring...

LOCAL MUSIC BAND - ĐENOVIĆ
Founded in early 1929, within the Adriatic guard, in 1934 the band joined the Sokol Association and finally became independent in 1936.

CULTURAL-ARTISTIC ASSOCIATION “ILIJA KIŠIĆ”, Zelenika
Reinstated in 1968, this association carries on the tradition of the cultural-artistic association of “POLET” founded in early 1936.

CULTURAL-ARTISTIC ASSOCIATION “SLOGA”, Djenović
Founded in early 1937, this association toured 20 European countries, and achieved great success in 1985 in Spain, in the city of Kantonigros, at the Amateur Folklore Festival by taking the first place out of 46 folklore groups from 36 countries from all over the world.

CULTURAL-ARTISTIC ASSOCIATION “IGALO”, Igalo
The youngest cultural-artistic association in our community, it was founded in 1986. They participated in three international folklore festivals in Župski Aleksandrovac and are recipients of the award from the first Folklore Show in Bijela in 2002.

KLAPA (A CAPELLA ENSEMBLE) “STARI KAPETAN”
Founded in 1970, they made three records, four audio tapes and a CD, and participated in many events and programs of local and broader character and in TV shows in today’s and former country.

ENSEMBLE “BOKELJI”, Herceg Novi
Founded in 1966. Within its 35 years of performing, the group made three records with over 30 traditional songs from Boka and Montenegro, two audio tapes, two single records, one CD covering 21 best songs throughout their career, and a video tape released in Germany, one CD for the Slovenian recording studio »HELIDON« with 7 songs, numerous TV shows for all Yugoslav TV studios and radio stations. They traveled and performed in several European cities, and participated in the “Mimosa Festival” from its inception. In 2002, the publishing of a monograph »THE BOKA SAGA OF ENSEMBLE BOKELJI«, written by brothers Lazar i Dušan Seferović who were its members since the beginning, marked the end of the ensemble. The new ensemble called “MLADI BOKELJI” keeps carrying out their tradition.

ARTISTIC CENTER “AS”, Herceg Novi
The Art Center »AS« was founded in 1992 in Herceg Novi. Classic ballet, modern dance, sports and standard dances and national dances and songs are a part of their program which has been enriching performances of young generations. The Center received many awards for its outstanding work, the favorite being the October Award presented by the city of Herceg Novi in 2000. »AS« takes pride in its professional, educational work, good quality programs, a great number of members and a loyal audience.

MODEL STUDIO “MODEFEST MIMOZE”, Herceg Novi
Founded in 1993, the studio already in 1994 won the GOLD PLAQUE presented by the Tourist Association of Montenegro as a part of their »Choosing the best in tourism of Montenegro” action. This studio has for a few years successfully organized several Yugoslav fashion shows within the Mimosa Festival program.
Also, the studio offers courses for models, lectures on fashion and organizes fashion shows.

HERCEG NOVI THEATER, Herceg Novi
Herceg Novi possesses a very long theater tradition even though an unsteady one with frequent and extensive periods of breaks. Long ago in 1903, there was a performance presented in San Francisco called »The Boka dream of America” whose authors were Lazar S. Đurić and Veljko Radojević from Herceg Novi. The first theater in the city was founded in 1920 as a division of the Sokol Association.
The first amateur theater was founded in 1948 and was active until 1962. After a lengthy break, it was re-established in 1973. After another break, the theater that exists today was founded in 1983. This theater won the third place in 1995 at the Festival of Amateur Theaters of Yugoslavia, the second place in 1996, and the first place in 1997. In 2002, at the Festival of Amateur Theaters of the former Yugoslav Republics, this theater won the first place.
It received the October Award presented by the city of Herceg Novi.

“EXODUS” - MUSIC BAND
OFounded in 1967, the band Exodus won the Montenegrin Gitarijada in 1969 (a musical festival including competition among bands from entire Montenegro), and, consequently, participated in the Yugoslav Touring Gitarijada in 1969. The band members have been on several TV shows out of which two, half an hour long each, were devoted entirely to the band and their families and friends. They made two records and have been participating in the “Mimosa Festival” for 35 years.
