“JOSIP BEPO BENKOVIĆ”
Founded in 1966, it covers an area of 100 m2. It has a permanent exhibition comprising over 200 paintings, sculptures and graphics. There is a separate area which is Milena Šotra’s bequest comprising 50 paintings that this famous painter donated to the city on the occasion of celebrating 600 years since the founding of Herceg Novi.
Within the gallery, there is a commemorative chamber of Josip-Bepo Benković (1906-1943), a Herceg Novi painter and athlete, as well as of Ivan Lučev (1904-1958) who was a painter and a caricaturist.
A part of the gallery is an workshop for preserving and restorating. The gallery’s attic comprises several ateliers for painters and sculptors.
The gallery is open daily from 09:00 to 20:00 (except on Sundays).
